Elon Musk opened Sunday, Oct. 25, with a product claim aimed at everyday errands: Grok Bot, he said, can now phone a person or a business for you. Around noon came his most-viewed post of the day, a warning that debt markets have closed to most AI cloud startups even as SpaceX lined up $40 billion for GPUs. A SpaceX filing on Monday put formal terms on that money. In between he cursed Ukraine-war “warmongers,” went after Talarico twice and met Brazil’s runoff result with open doubt. The desk read all 70 of his posts from 7:06 a.m. PT Sunday to 7:06 a.m. PT Monday, sorted them by topic, and lists highlights first. No new Musk interview surfaced in the window; one clip he reposted comes from a March 2025 Fox News interview.
Highlights. Grok Bot gets a phone: Musk says it can call, make a request and send back a summary (View post on X ↗, about 2.6 million views), and he told users to treat it like “a super competent employee” (View post on X ↗). He tied SpaceX’s access to credit to its investment-grade rating and its Starlink and launch revenue, and said of the 200-plus neoclouds, “Some will make it through, but not many” (View post on X ↗). His Stephen King reply, “Your mental model outside of short-sighted tribalism is pathetically stupid,” drew about 107,600 likes, the day’s most-liked post (View post on X ↗). And he cheered Starlink deals with two airlines: “A cunning move by Aer Lingus 😉” (View post on X ↗) and “Starlink coming to EasyJet” (View post on X ↗).
SpaceX and Starlink. The Aer Lingus post quoted @cb_doge’s report of free Starlink Wi-Fi on all the airline’s U.S. routes. easyJet’s own announcement says installs start in the first half of 2027 across its A320, A320neo and A321neo fleet and should finish by early 2028, with no pricing disclosed (easyJet). “Starship Flight 15 static fire,” he wrote over SpaceX’s video of a full-duration, 33-engine firing (View post on X ↗); Spaceflight News reports the test on Booster 22 at Starbase’s Pad 2 on Oct. 25 and says SpaceX has announced no launch date, though NASA expects the flight probably in November (Spaceflight News). “Raptor 4 will be 300 tons of thrust at sea level and hopefully about the same mass” (View post on X ↗). He reposted @EvaFox on Jordan’s central bank switching on a Starlink gateway as a backup if undersea cables fail (View post on X ↗). To a clip of Robert Reich urging Democrats to lay “the groundwork for nationalizing Starlink & SpaceX,” he replied, “Stealing companies is a serious crime. Prison for Reich.” (View post on X ↗; video via RealClearPolitics).
AI compute and SpaceX’s GPU debt. Replying to @chamath, he argued that lenders now fund only AI builders with revenue outside data centers, and that SpaceX qualifies because “we’re investment grade and have Starlink & launch revenue” (View post on X ↗). To @SawyerMerritt: “This is primarily callable debt for GPU purchases that will arrive in Q1 and Q2. Not a major factor this quarter.” (View post on X ↗). When a critic suggested he wants to push neoclouds toward buyouts, he answered, “SpaceX is not buying any neoclouds. Pointless.” (View post on X ↗). On accounting: “Accounting depreciation is irrelevant (true depreciation s [sic] not). Delivering on projected cash flow is what matters.” (View post on X ↗). He also reposted a clip of himself on building AI satellites from lunar silicon and aluminum (View post on X ↗).
Grok Bot and xAI. “The best way to use Grok @Bot is assume you are hiring a super competent employee,” he wrote over investor Adeo Ressi’s account of running more than a dozen Bots (View post on X ↗). “Try Grok @Bot,” he wrote over Altimeter’s Brad Gerstner, who says his Bot helped gather QR codes and process payments for his $250 gifts into children’s Trump Accounts (View post on X ↗). To a user who wants a Bot that joins Zoom or Teams calls: “This might be possible” (View post on X ↗). To a Cybertruck owner whose car and Bot don’t share memory: “Log in to the car with your main Grok Bot?” (View post on X ↗). He reposted @WOLF_Financial quoting Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, “The demand for GrokBot, the consumption for GrokBot is really skyrocketing” (View post on X ↗), and called @tetsuoai’s AI music video “hello, world” “So beautiful” (View post on X ↗).
Tesla and X. Quoting Tesla’s @robotaxi account (“Houston, we have liftoff / Bigger service area now live”), he joked, “I swear it’s just a coincidence 😂” (View post on X ↗); Tesla gave no map or size for the new area in that post. He reposted @cb_doge on an 80-year-old driver who says supervised FSD handled about 2,800 miles of a 3,000-mile trip (View post on X ↗). On the anniversary of his Twitter purchase: “It’s been a memorable 4 years” (View post on X ↗).
U.S. politics. “Talarico is a far left extremist” (about 4.3 million views) quoted an @america compilation of Talarico remarks (View post on X ↗), and “Talarico is a FAR LEFT extremist” quoted a post about a Daily Wire hidden-camera video (View post on X ↗). Stephen King had written that Musk fears Talarico because of his Texas business interests. After Maye Musk wrote, “This morning I voted in NYC. No ID. No lines,” he posted, “No ID is required to vote in New York State or California” (View post on X ↗, about 3.2 million views). He answered “True” to @kevinnbass’s list of predictions, including that Democrats would “Pack SCOTUS” and “Go after Elon, SpaceX, and Tesla” (View post on X ↗).
Ukraine, Brazil and Europe. Besides the “burn in hell” post, he wrote, “The endless slaughter of Ukrainian and Russians must stop... Those kids have no choice but to fight and die in drone strikes.” (View post on X ↗), and “Good questions” to a post asking why so few others talk about young soldiers dying (View post on X ↗, about 3.8 million views). He reposted @cb_doge’s “Ukraine needs a new leader” (View post on X ↗) and a clip of his Bret Baier interview on Sen. Mark Kelly (View post on X ↗), which aired in March 2025 (Modernity). On Brazil he wrote “Wow” over a post about Justice Cristiano Zanin ordering polls to stay open (View post on X ↗) and 🙄 at European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen’s congratulations to Lula (View post on X ↗). AFP reports Lula beat Flávio Bolsonaro by about 4.4 million votes; the court extended voting by two hours at Lula’s request over bus disruptions, and Bolsonaro, who had also sought extensions in some regions over heavy rain, called the ruling a “dirty trick” and said he would seek to annul the election (AFP).
Media and culture. To Katie Miller, who criticized an Associated Press report on Starlink-linked drones: “AP stands for Associated Propaganda” (View post on X ↗). “Go woke, go broke (yet again),” he replied to a post saying Alex Gibney’s four-hour documentary “Musk” left theaters within two weeks (View post on X ↗); A.V. Club reports the film has almost vanished from most of its theaters a week after its Oct. 16 expansion, and cites Box Office Mojo figures of under $1 million in two weeks (A.V. Club). He also wrote “So many cultures are dying out” over a fertility-rate chart (View post on X ↗).
Deep dive: Grok Bot’s new phone calls. Musk’s 7:35 a.m. post quoted @alexmichaelio’s rundown of what that user calls Grok Bot 0.77: a Bot that can “dial someone, sit on hold, press keys and get transferred while you watch a live transcript,” plus a Payments screen and sharing invites that “need Premium or Ultra” (@alexmichaelio · View on X ↗). That rundown draws on a list of prerelease builds that carries its own caveat that features “may or may not be available” (@blankspeaker · View on X ↗). The public changelog’s newest entry, version 0.75.5 from Oct. 23, adds a Vault, email forwarding and fewer approval cards, but no calling (x.ai changelog).
The Tech Signal notes that no release notes, pricing or regions accompanied Musk’s post, and that on Oct. 18 he praised a reservation Bot that relied on a third-party calling service, ClawCall (The Tech Signal). Brian Roemmele, whom Musk reposted, says he and his clients already make such calls through an external add-on and expect 0.77 to bring calling “integrated” (@BrianRoemmele · View on X ↗). CellCog points out that the FCC ruled in February 2024 that AI-generated voices fall under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act’s rules on artificial voices, and that Google’s similar Duplex service announces itself; neither Musk nor xAI has said whether Grok Bot will identify itself as an AI, record calls or limit calling by country or plan (CellCog).
The same day’s posts frame the $40 billion SpaceX GPU financing. A Monday 8-K describes a master finance lease with an Apollo-managed entity, with leases of about five to five and a quarter years starting in the first half of 2027 (StockTitan 8-K summary; CNBC; Reuters via Investing.com). Musk calls it a sign that only firms with outside revenue can still borrow; Huang, in the clip Musk reposted, describes Grok Bot demand as “really skyrocketing.”
